The Bay Point Marriott Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida, is pleased to inform you that effective October 1, 2006, this hotel will be 100% non-smoking. In response to increasing guest demand for non-smoking rooms, Marriott announced in July that all of its hotels in the United States and Canada will become 100% non-smoking. The Bay Point Marriott Resort is proud to implement this brand standard.

This new Marriott Brand Standard reflects the strong preference expressed by the vast majority of our guests for smoke-free environments. The only way to provide this experience is to allow no smoking within the building. Therefore, we are extending this preference throughout all areas of the hotel. The new policy includes all guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms and public spaces. For our guests who want to smoke, we have provided covered outdoor smoking between the porte cochere and the Conference Center.

We have followed an extremely thorough cleaning process to eliminate smoke odor in our guestrooms. When there is evidence that smoking has occurred in a guestroom, please be advised that a room recovery fee of $250 per incidence will be applied to the registered guest's account, or charged after departure.
